The Story

When Prospect Medical shut down Crozer and Taylor hospitals, they left over 3,000 families without jobs, retirement plans they were promised, or support.

Even worse, they left an entire community of 500,000 people in Delaware County, PA without access to essential healthcare.

The nurses, staff, and caregivers who dedicated their lives to this community were simply abandoned.

Meanwhile, Prospect’s executives — who run a multi-billion dollar national healthcare company — including Von Crockett, took home millions in bonuses.

After seeing firsthand what Prospect did to our community, we started the Crozer-Taylor Food Fund — providing meals and groceries to the families Prospect failed.

But the real spark came from our kids.

On the way home from delivering meals, Izzy (age 9) asked:

“Why won’t the owners help them?”

When we explained that Prospect “doesn’t have the money,” Izzy didn’t hesitate:

“Well, if they don’t have the money to pay their people, they can come work at my lemonade stand to raise it.”

Then Justin (age 12) added:

“If Prospect doesn’t have the money, they should at least come here and help us make the care packages.”

And right then, Izzy said:

“We should make it a challenge.”

That moment became the heart of the Prospect Challenge.

The Challenge

We’re inviting families everywhere to join Justin & Izzy in doing what Prospect didn’t.

Here’s how to join:

Film your kids offering Von Crockett (Prospect’s CEO) a job that actually helps people.

  • Be creative: chores, homework, community service, working at a family business — anything that helps others.

Donate $1 (or more) to the Crozer-Taylor Food Fund.

  • Every dollar helps a family in need.

Post your video with #ProspectChallenge.

Tag 3 friends to take the challenge too.

Why It Matters

You might not be from Delaware County. You might have never heard of Prospect Medical.

But if you believe that real business leaders put people first — and that profit should never come before lives — this is your chance to stand with us.

Help us spread the word.

Remind Justin, Izzy, and all of us that courage doesn’t come from size.

Sometimes, the smallest voices spark the biggest changes.
